The Feelies - Loveless Love

You made your offerA little too soonIt's not the first timeit's happenedIn a moment you said
You don't want to know meIt's seems as though that's never doneWhat I'm seeing as hopelessYou're seeing as ...
Won
The story askingCould we be together tonightI was raised by a different standardAnd it wouldn't seem right
Ah ...
It doesn't seem importantI'd like to know what matters thenAs it happened they already didI don't remember it
Loveless loveIs not my planLoveless loveSaid it isn't romance
Loveless loveYou think it's coolI think it stinksLoveless loveYou don't care what I think
Well nobody's perfectIt's not the way you were raised to be-haveTry to understandThat's not the way to be.

‘and one day we will die
and our ashes will fly
from the aeroplane over the sea
but for now we are young
let us lay in the sun
and count every beautiful thing we can see’.
